I am excited to announce that after long and careful consideration, we are now members of the
Hwa Rang World Tang Soo Do Federation under
Grandmaster Ho Sik Pak. Grandmaster Pak is from Seoul Korea and currently lives in the Los Angeles area. He studied under the late Grandmaster Hwang Kee, the Founder of Tang Soo Do Moo Duk Kwan system. I’m sure you will have many questions, so I will explain in more detail when I see all of you in class, however, I assure you this will be an easy transition for all students and it is in our best interest.
What this change means:
- All events such as testing, tournaments, clinics, etc., will now be with Grandmaster Pak and the Hwa Rang World Tang Soo Do Federation.
- It is still Tang Soo Do, however, there will be some slight variations in things, but it will be an easy transition.
- It will not affect your rank.
- As of June 18, 2020, we are no longer members of the World Tang Soo Do Association (WTSDA)
- We will no longer participate in any WTSDA events., testing, clinics, tournaments etc.
- You will get new patches/insignia for your uniform at no cost to you.
Grandmaster Pak will come to our dojang soon to meet everyone as soon as we are back to regular classes and when it is safe to do so.
