Director News | |
Need a Director's Report? Click here. Use "Director's Report" as your subject line and include the official name of your center and license number in the body of the e-mail.
When you receive your Director's report, have your staff check their addresses, email addresses and phone numbers for accuracy and notify us of any changes. |

Teachers & Staff News | |
 Check the expiration date on your CDA credential if you have one. If it expires within the next year, start working on renewal now. With the implementaion of CDA 2.0, there is no longer a grace period for renewal. You must complete renewal requirements by the expiration date on the credential. Click on the CDA FAQs link to find out more information about the new CDA 2.0.

School Readiness Tax Credit | |
Now is the time to prepare for 2013 SRTC. Members who are at Child Care Teacher I, II, III, IV, Child Care Master Teacher, Director I, II, III, and IV are on tax credit eligible levels. CDA credentials and memberships to professional organizations must be current. Send copies to us as soon as you get them!
In order to receive your 2013 tax form at the end of January 2014, the deadline for submitting information is December 31, 2013--but the sooner, the better. |

Quality Start | |
 The Quality Start Model dated March 2012 requires that for 1 point "All lead teachers and directors complete training in Louisiana's Early Learning Guidelines and Standards which encompasses information from Louisiana's Early Learning Guidelines and Program Standards: Birth through Three (DSS, October 2006) and the Louisiana Standards for Programs Serving Four-Year-Old Children (DOE, June 2003)." For 2 or more points ALL teachers and directors are required to have this training.
This training is currently called "Louisiana's Continuum of Early Learning and Development Standards 2012 (ADM 6)." Workshop description in flyers or training calendars should include the statement that the training meets the Quality Start Model requirement for training in Louisiana's Early Learning Guidelines and Standards.
If you plan for more than 2 stars in the future, make sure that your staff members complete this training.

Trainer News | |
 There is now a separate application for trainer renewal. If you need to renew, the application is on our website. Make sure that you submit both the Trainer Renewal application and the Trainer Agreement and Release Form. You must also complete Louisiana Pathways Trainer Orientation and submit documentation of 15 clock hours of Train the Trainer experience. Pathways Orientation is available online.
