Fall Meeting in Baton Rouge
|
Hurricane Harvey tried but did not keep us from getting together for the Fall Meeting! Thank you to all who could join us on our rescheduled dates, and for those who could not make it the 2nd go around, we are sorry and you were missed. Break out sessions were included at this event and they were well received. The hard part was choosing what presentation to attend! Below are some highlights from the meeting.

1st Place Poster Winner Drs. Chokhawala Krutika with co-author Mohamed Sarfraz, for
Role of Advanced Magnetic Resonance Imaging in the Evaluation of Child with Disruptive Behavior Disorder other authors not pictured are Drs. Eduardo Gonzalez-Toledo and Lee Stevens.
2nd Place Poster Winner Dr. Carnie Nzodom could not be with us to due scheduling. She entered Resident Physicians and Health Disparities: Increasing Resident Knowledge of Healthcare Disparities with co-authors Rebecca Hammarlund, PhD, Diana Hamer, PhD and Laurinda Calongne, EdD.
Winning 3rd Place was Harsimran Kaur, MBBS for
Long-Acting Injectable Dopamine Neuromodulator Use in Pediatric Psychiatric Patients. Other authors included Drs. Astik Joshi, Raghu Gandhi, Shawn McNeil and Lee Stevens.
Judges also recognized 2 honorable mentions - Medical Student Shradha Thakur, MPH for
Pill Splitting: A Means to Address Mental Health Care Costs in Louisiana and
Crime and Recidivism Among Adolescents with Substance Use entered by Drs. Shawn McNeil, Astik Joshi, Kunal Maini, Lee Stevens and Maneek Kaler.
And we have to mention that Dr. Lee Stevens pictured right is the proud winner of the door prize!
