Greg Harth, President and Chief Visionary Officer of Harth Builders, played a foundational role in the creation of the Lower Gwynedd Business Association (LGBA). His connection to the community and commitment to its growth made him a natural leader in the Association’s early days. The original mission of the LGBA was to organize the business community in response to a proposed update to the Township’s sign ordinance. However, during this effort, the founders discovered the breadth and quality of independent businesses throughout the township. This discovery shifted the Association's focus. "Raising awareness of these businesses to the local community became the next challenge," Greg explains. In response, LGBA developed a business map and a compelling value proposition for membership, offering monthly meetings and a leadership team to support member businesses.

Harth Builders is a nationally recognized, award-winning residential design-build remodeling firm based in Montgomery County. With over 30 years of experience serving the Greater Philadelphia Area, the company’s success and commitment to excellence reflect Greg’s values and approach to community engagement.

Greg’s love for building started at a young age with Legos. Today, he leads Harth Builders, a $28MM company with 80+ employees, operating out of a thoughtfully renovated building in Lower Gwynedd. Additionally, he’s actively engaged in smart growth residential developments and commercial real estate investments. At the heart of Greg’s work is a passion for building meaningful relationships. He believes that connecting people creates opportunities for success, which ultimately strengthens and enriches the communities they serve.Under Greg’s leadership, Harth has won over 50 local, regional, and national Remodeler of the Year (RotY) awards for various projects, three National Chrysalis awards, Philadelphia Business Journal’s prestigious “50 on Fire” and “Soaring 76” awards, Philadelphia Magazine’s 2024 Best of Philly.

Greg is a strong advocate for collaboration and the power of shared success:

"I am a big believer in sharing best practices and rising waters float all boats. Through networking organizations such as the Lower Gwynedd Business Association and the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Montgomery County, business owners and individuals can come together to collaborate on challenges they face, make introductions to other businesses, or share best practices—all to raise the standard of excellence amongst the business community."

Small businesses need to rely on tools that will streamline their communications. Here are a few that offer free trials.

Mailchimp: As one of the most popular email marketing platforms, Mailchimp is well known for its free plan, designed for users with under 2,000 subscribers. Since many small businesses don’t have an extensive mailing list, this plan is both budget and user-friendly. Features include marketing options, landing pages, auto responses and the option to segment mailings

Zoho Campaign: Zoho offers a whole suite of software and email marketing falls under its Campaigns platform. Users can start with the free plan, which includes up to 2,000 contacts or upgrade to a paid option that starts at $3 per month. It allows for automation, has a drag-and-drop email editor and can integrate easily with a CRM.

MailerLite:  Ideal for businesses of all sizes, MailerLite offers a range of features and is especially advantageous for anyone interested in marketing through blogging as well as email. The free version caps out at 1,000 subscribers and after that plans begin at $9 per month. If you are interested in selling econtent like paid newsletter subscriptions, MailerLite may be a good fit.
