SUMMER READING PROGRAM

2025

Summer at the Library!

We’re here to help you make this summer unforgettable with great books, activities, and more. Join us for the official kickoff on Thursday, June 26th right here at the library! Plus, did you know you can borrow so much more than books?

Explore nature with our bird watching kit (located in the children's room), enjoy outdoor fun with lawn games, gaze at the stars with a telescope, try your hand at the ukulele around the campfire, and much more!

Stop by the library to start your summer adventure!

Sign-ups start NOW!

Adults (18+):

Challenge yourself to read more this summer and be entered to win prizes! Register on Beanstack and log the minutes you read and complete challenge objectives to earn badges. Earning badges also unlocks tickets for you to enter into prize drawings. The more you read, the more you can win!

Teens (Grades 6-12):

Children ages 0 through entering 5th grade can join us this summer as we explore ways to "Read Under the Sea." You can earn badges and raffle tickets for time spent reading and for completing fun active challenges with your families! You can register on Beanstack or in person as a paper logger. SEA SONGS & STORIES WITH DAVIS BATES!

Thursday, June 26th

6:00PM

Back Patio & Children's Garden

We're kicking off Summer Reading with Sea Shanties, Ballads, Fish tales and more in an amazing concert by Davis Bates . Hear how foam came to be in the ocean and sing songs to raise the anchor and set sail to past and present!

Davis' traditional and participatory style of telling empowers and encourages audiences of all ages to join in the fun, and to take the stories home with them to share with others.

Join us in the Children's Garden patio space behind the library (weather permitting) as we start another jam-packed summer of programs, challenges, and prizes for readers of all ages. While you're here, you can register for a reading challenge, pick up event calendars, sign-up for programs, and more during this family-friendly music show. No registration required.
