Sarah Stevens impresses at MRW Brunch

Conservative Sarah Stevens, candidate for NC Supreme Court, electrified attendees at our August 12 brunch with her strong defense of constitutional law. She shared her impressive credentials for the office of Supreme Court judge; discussed her liberal opponent's history of ignoring the Constitution and the law as it's written; and made a compelling case for her candidacy. She believes judges on the NC Supreme Court are the final arbiters of what is the law in North Carolina, and that they are "referees, not kings."

We agree with her, as did everyone in the audience!

Her opponent has Big Money streaming in from the West Coast and other outside groups, as liberals try to gain a bigger foothold in North Carolina.

We urge you to support Sarah's campaign here.

NC Representative Neil Jackson introduced Stevens with a whole-hearted and enthusiastic endorsement.

Stevens told us that in the 2022 mid-terms, nearly 200,000 voters didn't finish their ballots, neglecting to vote for Republican candidates (including judges) on the back of the ballot. Don't let that happen to you or anyone you know!

Fundraising at our brunch

Many thanks to ALL who donated money to Sarah Stevens' campaign. At the brunch alone, she received more than $3,600! Our members definitely understand the importance of winning this race!

For those who purchased items at our MRW sales tables, here are the results:

  • Basket Raffle - $220. Basket won by Wanda Little; thank you, Betsy Miller, for selling raffle tickets .
  • Split the Pot - $70. $35 won by Elaine Bologna; thank you, Caroline Kelly, for selling raffle tickets.
  • Jewelry & nut sales - $70. Thanks to all who purchased something.

Major new GOP mailing to MC newcomers

Help Get Out The Vote!

The Moore County GOP, MRW and the Men's Club have developed a mailer to go out to people who have moved into Moore County in the past year. The mailer details WHY North Carolina is such a great place to live and the role conservative Republicans have played to make it happen.

We need your help to address envelopes!

Every Thursday around noon (after the Thursday Think Tank meeting), we will meet at Moore County GOP headquarters (211 Central Avenue, Suite 3, Pinehurst) to address and stuff envelopes for this mailer. Since the mailing list is big, we'll keep doing this right up until the election if needed.

This is an important way to get relative newcomers to Moore County motivated to vote REPUBLICAN in the mid-terms!

Use social media to help Michael Whatley

If you're on social media (Facebook, Instagram, X), there's something very easy you can do to help Michael Whatley with name recognition and messaging:

  • Like, share or retweet his posts!

  • Even better, if there's a video, watch the video all the way through - and do it again!

All of these actions amplify the algorithms, indicating interest and approval. As a result, the platform then pushes it out a much wider audience.

Don't stop with Michael Whatley's campaign posts - do the same for the NC GOP and other conservative groups and people who are for Whatley.

It's not hard to do, and the more people doing it, the greater the reach!

Note: Michael Whatley for Senate signs (as well as signs for all the candidates) are now available in the Moore County GOP HQ. Stop by and pick one up. You may put them in your lawn (not in public spaces yet).

Election Integrity mailing still in progress

This major-league project to ensure Moore County's voter lists are up to date and "clean" began last spring and is still under way. The good news is it's garnering lots of success.

You can help personalize form letters and address envelopes to be sent to residences where three or more people with different last names reside.

Help staff our booth at Pinehurst BBQ festival

The Pinehurst BBQ Festival takes place September 4-6. There are a lot of fun events, but the most important is on Sunday, the "Pitmaster Invitational."

Moore County GOP will have a tent located on Market Street at the festival on that day, where we will promote the GOP and register people to vote.

If you're planning to go on Sunday, stop by the GOP tent and help out for an hour. Volunteers are most welcome!

If you do not care to visit the Barbeque Tents to try the food, you don’t have to purchase a food ticket. Entrance to the event is free and on the common walkways and streets of downtown Pinehurst, North Carolina.

If you want to commit to staffing the booth and are interested in tasting the sample BBQs as well, you can get half-price vendor tickets. Email Annette Miller at annettem25@sbcglobal.net.
