Greetings!
Things have gotten even more exciting with Medical Missions Outreach! The last several months have been difficult, exciting, sad, and wonderful all at the same time. It has been a roller coaster ride and we have been holding on and enjoying what God has done. I hope you find this email informative and exciting as we explain some of the highlights of God's goodness to us. As always, if I can answer any questions or be of help in any way, please let me know! Thank you again for being a blessing to us. We are thankful for partners like you, helping us reach the world for the Great Physician! Sincerely,
Bradley & Kelleigh Edmondson Director |

A Big Move
Many of you know that our ministry has been headquartered at Calvary Baptist Church in Ashland, Ohio for over seven years. When we first moved to Ashland, MMO was still in its infancy. The folks of Calvary Baptist jumped on board and caught our vision for reaching a world with the Gospel and using medicine as the means to do it.
As time has passed, one of the biggest obstacles we have faced is being 12 hours away from our family. Bradley's parents are in Alabama, and Kelleigh's parents are in Boston. Our schedule demands tons of travel, and that can be disruptive to a normal "home" life for our 4 children. Our biggest prayer in this ministry is that our children will not resent our dedication to the work of God, but embrace it, love it, and want to participate in it, later in life. We know that having our parents involved in their lives will be a huge blessing.
We began praying for God's will and direction in this area, and within a few short weeks, He answered! One of our supporting churches, Rosedale Baptist Church, expressed their desire to be more involved with our ministry. They have a deep desire to do more for the cause of global evangelization, and extended an offer to allow MMO to join their ministry team. This offer has several strategic benefits. We will be 45 minutes away from every embassy in the US, allowing us to work closer with governmental officials, as we prepare for trips into their country. We also will be within a 2 hour driving distance of 7 major international airports. Then, there was that whole desire to be closer to family...this move will put us much closer to Kelleigh's parents. In fact, it's only about 4 hours by train! What a tremendous blessing! And with this many major airports, we can get down to Alabama very easily too!
Our plan is to move to Baltimore mid-August after returning from Zambia. Please keep us in your prayers, as this will be a major transition. We are still trying to sell our house, find a place to rent while looking for a permanent home, and find a warehouse for our supplies and work. These obstacles are small to such a mighty God, and we are not worried at all!

A New Partnership
Another new growth opportunity God has given us, is our recent partnership with Baptist International Missions, Inc. (BIMI). BIMI is known all over the world for their focus on world evangelism. We are excited about partnering with them to get more done for the cause of Christ. Medical Missions Outreach will serve as an arm of the CLAIMS ministry. We are excited and proud to be a part of the BIMI family, but please know, that we will still have the opportunity to serve with many missionaries that are a part of other missions agencies. This partnership will enable funding for our ministry to be handled smoothly and relieve some of the book keeping stress from our shoulders. |

Summer Fun
Summer is a time when most people go on vacation, work in their yards, enjoy barbecues...and go on missions trips! This summer, we have had a lot going on! Let's rewind for a moment and get you up to speed with what MMO has done over the last several months:
In April, Medical Missions Outreach partnered with a missionary from Mexico, Juan Robles in Changinola, Panama. Close to the border of Costa Rica, this rural area has a large people group called the Ngobe-Bugle. We were excited to work amongst these colorful people and saw 662 people in just 4 days of clinic, with 174 professions of faith. The church is growing and when we heard they needed land, our team graciously gave towards the purchase of the land. We can't wait to go back and see what God is doing!
In May, we traveled to Phomn Pen, Cambodia to assist veteran missionary Stephen Benefield. We were thrilled to find that several missionaries were willing to come and assist us in the clinic throughout the week. We were especially excited to work alongside missionary to Singapore Chantha Chimm, who arrived from Singapore with a group of 10 of his church members who came ready and willing to work. We treated 800+ patients, shared the gospel with each of them and Bro. Benefield has been diligently following up with these mostly Buddhist people. In June, we traveled to Nyahururu, Kenya to work alongside national pastor Philip Waruture. We treated 1,650+ patients and saw 57 people trust Christ. We were also excited to see a college student on our team surrender her life to return to Kenya as a missionary someday! Three churches will benefit from our work in their areas, and we are excited to hear about the long-term blessings received from this week of work. Last week we visited Arequipa, Peru with 74 team members! You saw that correctly- 74! We had surgery, dental, medical and vision clinics all at once! It was a prayer come true, to see all 4 components of our ministry serving at the same time. We treated over 2,800 patients and witnessed over 900 claiming Christ as their personal Savior. It was amazing! And we're still not done! Originally we were scheduled to be in Malawi from August 1-10. We had travel difficulties arise, and our plans had to change. We usually try to have a "plan B" in case something goes wrong, and this was the time we needed to use it. Thankfully, we knew Missionary David Barnhouse in Zambia. He is doing an amazing job training pastors and helping churches located out in the "bush" areas of northern Zambia. We can't wait to get there and serve alongside this stellar family. Please pray for us as we finish up our last minute details. We look forward to seeing God do great things! |
