Holiday Closures

All Mesa County libraries will be closed on December 24, 25, and January 1.

December is Colorado Gives Month

This month, it only takes a little to make a big impact. Support the Mesa County Libraries Foundation programs that you love like Summer Reading, the Adult Learning Center, our Artist in Residence and Gardener in Residence, Comic Con, Culture Fest, and more!


Established in 1994, the Mesa County Libraries Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit entity formed exclusively for the purpose of expanding library programs and services in our communities.

Friends Weekend Book Sale

Come find some great used books, DVDs, CDs, and more, all at amazing prices!


The next Weekend Book Sale will be held Friday, Dec. 15 and Saturday, Dec. 16, from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the First Congregational Church of Grand Junction, 1425 N. 5th St. (Across from Grand Junction High School).


All proceeds from the Weekend Book Sales benefit Mesa County Libraries programs, including Summer Reading, Comic Con, and Culture Fest. For more information about how you can support the Friends of Mesa County Libraries, please call 970-683-2438.

Clifton Art Spotlight

Three years in the Making by Hannah Martin is one of the new artworks at the Clifton Branch library! The artist has used porcelain to create crumpled sheets of paper from a sketchbook. Including images of cats and bright colors, Martin's work is a perfect fit for the Kid's Area!

On Display


The current temporary art display at the Mesa County Central Library is the Culture Fest Juried Art Show through December 14. This year’s juror, Evan Curtis, the library’s fall 2020 Artist in Residence, selected thirty-eight pieces of artwork to be displayed from ninety entries!
