"Heated Service" or "Protect from Freeze Service" is needed for transporting most CIMCOOL metalworking fluids in Canada between November and April. Transport companies providing this service, will charge additional fees. If heated service is required, these additional charges will be included in your freight charge.
Remember:
- Transportation companies charge an extra fee for heated service.
- Do not store totes, pails or drums in outdoor storage and/or unheated warehouses.
- Some CIMCOOL products stored in cold temperatures can become difficult to pour or pump due to viscosity changes.
- In cold weather conditions, some CIMCOOL products can be more difficult to mix. Extra stirring or agitation may be needed.
- CIMCOOL proportioners will make mixing easier under these conditions.
Most CIMCOOL fluids, if frozen or subjected to cold temperatures for a long period of time, need only to be thawed and stirred before use. Contact CIMCOOL Technical Services for assistance.
Please refer to our CIMCOOL Bulletin #16-04A for more detailed information on "What to do in Cold Weather".
