HopeinMotion2016Save the Date for Hope in Motion 2016

Hope in Motion, Minnesota's National Cancer Survivors Day Celebration presented by Minnesota Oncology, is scheduled for Sunday, June 5, 2016 at Phalen Regional Park in St. Paul. Join us for a family-friendly celebration of all those who have faced a cancer diagnosis.

Hope in Motion includes a 5K Run/Walk, 1-Mile Family Walk, Kids Dash, speakers, entertainment, survivor resources, and more.  Mark your calendars and watch for registration information coming soon. Watch the highlights video from last year's event below.

DietitiansCSOMN Oncology Dietitians Earn Board Certification in Oncology Nutrition

Minnesota Oncology Dietitians  Sarah Barts  and  Angela Stephens  recently became Board Certified Specialists in Oncology Nutrition. The designation for this is "CSO" (Certified Specialist in Oncology Nutrition). Minnesota Oncology Dietitian  Tracie Swearingen  was already certified, so now all three of our Dietitians are Board Certified Specialists in Oncology. Currently, there are only eight CSO Dietitians in the state of MN, and we are proud to now have three of them at Minnesota Oncology! Read more.

Some cancers have a hereditary component. To help those people potentially at risk, Minnesota Oncology offers genetic counseling to patients and concerned family members. We believe such intervention can greatly increase the chance of successful treatment, should it become necessary.

Throughout February, our Burnsville Clinic will be undergoing renovations including new exam rooms, a private Patient Financial Counseling office, and waiting room updates.
