Experiential learning opportunities such as internships are a critical part of a Minnesota State education. They enhance a student's academic experience, provide hands-on training, and help employers grow their talent pipeline. Internship set Vermilion Community College graduate on path to career as a Surveyor
Chris Foley spent a summer interning at Bear Island Surveying in Ely when he was a student at Vermilion Community College. That internship led to another on a surveying crew for the city of Bloomington while he was attending St. Cloud State University. Armed with those internships, Foley is now building a career in the field.

Throughout her time at St. Cloud State University, Anna Furth was involved in the community, working part-time as an on-scene advocate at Anna Marie’s Alliance, completing a full-time summer internship with Stearns County Probations, and most recently with the Metro Citizens Police Academy.
