Hello! Minnesota State colleges and universities awarded over
$2 million in Workforce Development Scholarships during the fall 2020 semester. These $2,500 scholarships ($1,250 each semester) went to 1,609 students interested in pursuing high demand careers needed for our state’s future, including health care services, transportation, and advanced manufacturing. We are grateful to the Minnesota legislature and governor’s office for allocating the money for these important scholarships, because for many of our economically fragile students the scholarship makes the difference between continuing toward a degree or stopping out. Below, two of our students share with us how valuable these scholarships have been to them. Enjoy!
