Hello! This week Minnesota State is celebrating and honoring the veterans and service members who are part of the Minnesota State community. More than 8,800 veterans and service members currently attend a Minnesota State college or university and countless more are employed across our campuses, and we thank them for their service. Army Reserve Specialist maneuvers both deployment and college at same time
Specialist Jennifer Busho has been deployed twice—first to Kuwait and recently to New York City to help with COVID-19. The Metropolitan State University nursing student says she hasn’t missed a beat in her schooling during her deployments because Metro State has stepped up to help her. 
Navy veteran finds resources and mentor at campus Service Center
U.S. Navy veteran Giulia Occhino graduated from the Practical Nursing program at Dakota County Technical College in 2019. During her time at DCTC, Guilia was involved with the college’s Military and Veterans Service Center and credits the services provided by the center as integral to her success at DCTC.
