Mission Equine Associates would like to announce the addition of Dr. Steve B. Levine to our practice.

Steve is a graduate of Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. He stayed on at Cornell to complete an internship in large animal medicine and surgery. He then went to the University of California at Davis for an equine surgery residency.
In 1980, he became a surgeon and clinician at the Rochester Equine Clinic in Rochester, NH. After 3 years Dr. Levine started his own equine ambulatory practice in Burlington, VT (Burlington Equine) and practiced there for 17 years.
In 2000, Steve started Northern Equine, another single practitioner, ambulatory practice and remained there for 13 more years. Dr. Levine was also an adjunct assistant professor at the University of Vermont, teaching undergraduate courses in equine health and disease as well as general animal health from 1985 to 2010.
Steve's wife, Elaine Malm, is a special educator, artist and avid bicycle rider. His daughter Laina and son-in-law, Ian, also live in Santa Barbara and recently had a baby boy named Woods.
