In an effort to coordinate military connected organizations throughout the region, Region Five Development Commission, in partnership with Building Healthy Military Communities, hosts Region Five Military and Veteran Exchange. During these meetings there will be an opportunity to network, share resources and learn how organizations can work together to address focused areas that have been identified as top priorities for the military community; mental/physical health, daycare shortage and resource availability.
Local changemakers don’t always make an appearance as “community leaders”. They do however consistently challenge us, inspire others and build greater collective awareness for what is good and necessary to be better - better neighbors, better citizens, better people. The Region Five Development Commission, in partnership with Voices for Rural Resilience, The Department of Public Transformation, and Growth and Justice have been working with visual, literary, and performance artists to craft and curate stories from local community changemakers to share how they are living the change they wish to see in their community. Join us on February 19th from 3:00-4:30pm for an online gathering and exhibition, plus gain access to Region Five's new Rural Equity Action Guide for Rural Communities. Registration is FREE, but required!
