A little about
 Mrs. Rackovan!
 
   Mrs. Rackovan is our Librarian/Writing Teacher! 
She has been with Noble Academy for the past four years as a teacher.  Mrs. Rackovan graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2013 and that's when she began her teaching career with Concept Schools. 
  She has a Pre-K Bachelors, a Masters in    Literacy and Reading Endorsement. At Noble, Mrs. Rackovan's education helps her guide our scholars with K-3 Writing, K-8 Accelerated Reading! She is also the K-3 Grade chair leader.
  Her goals as Noble's Librarian are to improve students' reading and writing skills and to encourage all scholars to use the library and Accelerated Reading effectively.
   Mrs. Rackovan and her husband, Vince, live in Painesville Township with their cat Smudge. 




   S cholars have been earning PBIS points for good behavior and demonstration of our Noble Knights expectations! Students can redeem points for items in our PBIS Store or for pizza parties, movies or events. 
  If students reached a total of 3,000 PBIS points they were able to attend a special dance party in the cafeteria complete with awesome music and refreshments!   Also, those s cholars with perfect attendance in the 1st and 2nd Quarters were awarded 100 points each quarter!

This time of the year there is always a distinct feeling in the air; generally of snow and crisp breezes, but at Noble Academy Cleveland, there's a different feeling...it's of success! It's been a great season so far and we can't wait to share what we've been doing and what is coming up in the New Year!
CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR T-NOBLE 9812 ROBOTICS TEAM!

In January the team competed in the SW PA Qualifier Tournament and took Control and Winning Alliance Award! Next they will head to State Championships on February 25th in Harrisburg PA! Good Luck and Congrats!
Congratulations to 3 Noble Students who advanced to the next level of the 
Spelling Bee in Chicago!
Ivana, Khyla and Nashir went to Chicago for the next stage of the Spelling Bee! (Nashir made it to the top 11 in his group). Although the group didn't advance further, they were praised for their respectful behavior and manners. 
Thank you Ms. Conn for taking them out there!

CLASS FIELD TRIPS & EVENTS 
WE DID  THIS FALL & WINTER:



Kindergarten went to the Lake Farm Park
 to learn about horses, sheep, pigs and cows. They even got a chance to milk a cow!

1st Grade went to Patterson's Apple Farm for a tour of the orchard, explanation of the apple growth and production process, picked apples to take home and then listened quietly to a story "Johynny Appleseed".

1st Grade went visited the Natural History Museum. The trip included a guided tour of the new indoor observation habitats of local and non-native animals. They learned about many different animals who live in or near water, on land and underground. 

CYSP Girls had an overnight to listen to a guest speaker and educator about aspects of being a young lady in school, how to keep positive reputations and learn about character development.

Family Engagement Night Part II! Parents were invited  Noble to open up more dialogue on how to make our school bigger and better! They had chances to ask questions, share thoughts and have a Thanksgiving meal together! Parents also learned more about how to help students at home with homework and use the database for seeing student's grades and attendance. 


Our K-4 Winter Concert was Spectacular!
You could really hear how all of the children worked so hard for this concert with their music teacher Mr. Ingley.

the 3RD QTR!

Let's See What We've Achieved So Far This Year:

The Positive Behavior System (PBIS) which the kids LOVE! Scholars are recognized all day, everyday, when they're seen doing good things! Then they earn points for use in the Knights Market Place and even for our most recent dance party!

 

 

Our NEW end of day pick up route! All cars enter from St. Clair and there are now two exits for safer smoother traffic.

 

 

Two of our classrooms have benefited from DonorsChoose.org! Our KB classroom will be getting a listening center kit (for 8 students) and 5 non-fiction books on CD-with 4 of each book and our Music room received funds for more instruments! Read their success stories!

 


 

Our lunch menu now has a full salad option twice a week  while the middle school gets daily fruit and vegie options off of a partial salad bar the other days of the week! This makes for a great healthy option for students!
