Welcome back!

The 2017-2018 school year is off to a great start! We are thrilled to see so many familiar faces as well as the smiling faces of our newest members! Our annual membership continues to increase each year and we are looking forward to 2017-2018 being one of the best years yet!

Here's a look at what's happening around the Club!

The Games Room continues to be one of the busiest places in the club! Members are always showing off their skills at a variety of games. There is always an exciting tournament going on in this room. From pool to foosball, we see a lot of competition in here!

The Learning Center is always full of members who signed up for Power Hour Homework Club. Members who sign a homework contract are able to earn opportunities to attend monthly Power Hour parties!

That isn't the only activity going on in the Learning Center. This is the Club's 2nd year providing members with an opportunity to join the LEGO Robotics League. This is a worldwide LEGO competition league that is open to members who range from 4th- 8th grade.

Other activities that take place in the Learning Center are math BINGO, Chess Club, musical chairs, LEGO free time, puzzle building, and much more!

When members want to use their creative and artistic skills, they head to the Art Room! Caitlin, our Art Room coordinator is always coming up with new and exciting activities in this special room. Painting, sewing, jewelry making, and pearler beading are favorites among members who spend time in the Art Room. This colorful room is always full of smiling faces!

The Computer Lab always attracts members of all ages.  On Thursdays in the computer lab, 4th- 6th graders will be able to participate in Digital Creators Club. This time is dedicated to creating a YouTube based platform that will include a magnitude of different topics. The members will come up with ideas both individually and as a group from which they will create skits that will be filmed, edited, and uploaded to the YouTube channel.

My.Future Essentials will be another program offered in the computer lab. This program is for members age 9 and older.
This online curriculum is aimed at providing the technology skills needed to thrive in today's digital world. Through personalized and engaging hands-on experiences, this program teaches members valuable digital skills and helps them understand their digital world, identify and develop digital interests and build a technological foundation for their future. Everything from learning the basics of coding and the importance of online security to creating a blog and using software to transform photos - this program has it all.

The Teen Room is full of energetic teenagers! Our older members enjoy hanging out with their friends in "The Nest". There are monthly tournaments that take place in this area of the club. Teenagers love to challenge their friends in corn hole, dominos, pool, and much more!

Teen nights are back! On Thursdays, members in grades 6th-12th are able to attend. Thursday night hours are 6:00- 8:00 p.m.

Friday and Saturday teen nights are FREE and offered to students in grades 8th-12th. Friday night hours are 8:00- 10:30 p.m. and Saturday nights from 7:00-10:00 p.m.
