Member & Youth of the Month

Member of the Month - Adriana Lopez

Adriana has been an outstanding member here for 4 years now. She is always keeping busy at the club participating in numerous programs and activities, especially the Art Room. This award is well deserved for a fifth grade member who shows maturity, kindness and gratitude.

Youth of the Month - Edward Clarkson

Edward has been a fun, kind and respectful club member since he was little and has grown up to be one of our strongest teen members. Edward sets a great example for our younger members and is always willing to engage our younger members. Edward is a role model and a leader who is always participating in club programs.

FIT CLUB a BIG Hit

Every afternoon at 4:00 a group of kids meet with our staff member, Delroy to participate in our first ever FIT CLUB. FIT CLUB teaches the kids the importance of physical fitness and staying active. Kids participate in a variety of "fun" fitness challenges, activities and games. All members are welcome to participate - check in with Delroy for more details!

Sam Sylvia Pro-Am Golf Tournament to take place June 12th & 13th

This special two day event will kick off on Sunday evening with our pairings cocktail party at the Nantucket Boys & Girls Club. The party boasts a fantastic live auction, various raffles, cocktails, and light appetizers. The golf tournament will be held on Monday morning at Sankaty Head Golf Club, followed by an awards luncheon.

In addition to a blind draw that creates amateur teams, participants are allowed to form their own foursomes, and play with a professional from the NEPGA.

Be on the lookout for information on some new and exciting raffles, which will be sold prior to the event and the evening of the cocktail party!

Athletics

So many exciting things happening in the Athletic Department this spring!

Floor hockey, tennis and training for our boxing program are all happening now. Our boxing program has over 60 kids participating this year. Members take part in various stretching and conditioning drills, and learn the fundamentals of boxing with the help of bags and other equipment. Our boxing program is a great way for members to stay active, while promoting physical fitness and instilling confidence in our young athletes. The season will come to an end on May 6^th, with our House of Champions Boxing Show.

Lacrosse signups are happening now, coming to an end on April 30^th. The season will begin on May 3^rd. Please check the calendar on our website for specific days and times.
