Join us this weekend, Saturday, October 24th for our 5th Annual Community Fall BBQ. This year's party will again feature the band, Maxxtone along with their Rock Star Karaoke. There will be a cornhole tournament, kid's activities, an all you can eat buffet, and open bar of beer, wine and soda.

With over 50 teens coming to Teen Night on any given Friday or Saturday evening, our revamped Teen Program is booming. Tara C., our new Teen Coordinator, has been working with the Nantucket High School and various other community organizations to get the word out and recruit new teen members. Teen members have been participating in open gym, movie nights, cooking classes, and other various games and activities. Thank you to the following local businesses for donating food and other goods for our teen's to enjoy!

The Club will be closed on Friday, October 30th as we join the Nantucket Fire Department to put on our first annual Community Haunted House! This will replace the fire department's normal haunted house, which took place at the Fire Station in years past. From 5:00pm-8:00pm the Club will be open to the public for a Haunted House, games, and other activities throughout the Club. In order to do our best to accommodate everyone's tolerance for spoooookiness, from 5:00pm-6:00pm we will cater to younger children and those of us who don't want quite the same level of heebie-jeebies as others! But don't fret- for those of you who like a good scare, from 6:00pm-8:00pm we will be AMPING UP the fear factor!
Admission is FREE for everyone (you do NOT have to be a Club member to attend)!
Parents, please note- the Club will be closed for the evening. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Please, no drop offs!

Each month our staff recognizes a member (11 year or younger and a youth (12 years and up) who exemplifies a "Club kid"- someone who is kind, abides by Club rules, helps other Club members and staff members, participates in Club activities and who is well rounded. NBGC Travel Basketball
For the first time ever, the Club is offering travel basketball for 5th and 6th graders. This year we will be a part of the Cape Cod Youth Basketball League, traveling off island weekly to play against Cape Cod teams. We are very excited to be able to offer a more extensive basketball program to the younger kids of Nantucket, giving them the chance to better prepare themselves for high school basketball.
Tryouts begin this evening at the Club and run through Thursday, October 22nd.
Please note, this is a travel team with additional expenses to the Club. Additional fees beyond the Club registration fee will apply. Financial assistance will be made available to those who need it.
