Tom SaxlundGreetings!

I hope you have had a fantastic summer. It is nearly time for us to put the covers over our bbqs, fold away our shorts and try to remember where we put our ski boots! I am not wishing the summer away but one eye is certainly on the winter.

In this newsletter we have a lots of NEW news! We have opened a Ski School in Serre Chevalier, launched our PRO range and have a fantastic December offer on our private lessons. We are also just back from France after completing a charity ride from Annecy to Courchevel in the memory of our good friend, Ali Rainback.
To help kick things off and to help you all get back in the swing of things we have put together a number of short ski and snowboard tip videos. They were great fun to make - I hope you find them useful!

Euan in the airWe are certainly not professional film makers but we hope that you find our ski and snowboard tip videos useful. We tried to cover topics that are continually raised in our lessons. If you have any ideas of areas we should cover then please do email us. You can access the ski tip video on this link or see our full range on our You Tube Channel. Enjoy.
New resort - Serre Chevalier Our ninth resort!
Serre Chevalier Mountains

We are really pleased to announce that we are opening a small Ski School in the fantastic resort of Serre Chevalier. The Ski School will be run by Gavin Crosby, a well known local instructor and BASI trainer. Click here to access our new Serre Chevalier pages.

Ali's Cycle Challenge 2
93km and 1600m of climbing
Tom and Matt CyclingAli Rainback, was and will always be a true inspiration to us all. This was never so evident on the last 17km of the cycle from Annecy to Courchevel where all the way up the hill you could see friends of Ali grinding the peddles up the 8% incline!
This year the cycle ride attracted over 60 riders on all different types of bikes. The sun played it's part and kept us smiling all day. The ride started in Annecy, following the 30km cycle path and then heading over the Col de Tamie. From the top of the Col we swept down into Albertville and followed the Vallee Olympic to Moutiers.
The final climb up to Courchevel was the toughie! The climb has seen many a pro cyclist collapse in exhaustion and was one of the last climbs to witness Lance Arrmstrong at his best in the year he took his 7th Tour Win. Unlike Lance the riders did not face another few days on the bike so we were able to enjoy the bbq and a few more than just one cold beer!
Thank you to everyone who made the ride possible - inlcuing the riders! We raised over 1000 Euros for Snow Camp. Check out a small video of the day we put together. See you next year!
The New proXplore
A two day programme guiding you round the mountain with tips on the way! Two levels, from cruising the blues and reds to tackling the steeps!

proxplore mountainsDeveloped by our instructor teams - the new proXplore range offer you the chance to explore the mountain with your instructor.
Dave Morris (Courchevel Manager) was one of the designers of the new range 'We wanted to develop a product which did not take up our client's week but enabled us to show them why we love the mountains, exploring our favourite runs, the best snow and occasionally the best coffee stops!'.
The proXplore range has two levels - Experience (Blues and Easy red) and Beyond 30 Degrees (Advanced). It runs for 2 days for 3-6 people, starting at 9am to beat the queues. You will need a lift pass that covers the whole ski area.
