NYU College of Dentistry Salutes Dr. Chad Gehani, ADA's New President-Elect
Dr. Chad P. Gehani, adjunct clinical associate professor in the Dr. Ignatius N. and Sally Quartararo Department of Endodontic, is the new president-elect of the American Dental Association (ADA). Dr. Gehani was elected during a meeting of the ADA House of Delegates at the 2018 annual meeting of the ADA in Honolulu. He will assume the role of president of the ADA in September 2019, when he will lead the 161,000-member organization.

Touro College of Dental Medicine Announces Academic Affiliation With Westchester Institute for Human Development
Dental students will conduct weekly rotations in the dental department of Westchester Institute for Human Development (WIHD), which provides oral health care to more than 4,000 adults and children with special needs each year throughout the Hudson Valley. As part of the program, students will assist WIHD's dental department in the provision of care at its facility on the New York Medical College campus as well travel in WIHD's mobile dental van to its multiple site locations throughout the region.

Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine Provided Free Dental Care to Those in Need in Rural Virginia
In collaboration with Remote Area Medical, Stony Brook Medicine helped provide much-needed oral health care services to over 260 patients in Gloucester, Virginia at the Ware Academy.

Touro College of Dental Medicine Appoints First Vice Dean for Academic Affairs
Touro College of Dental Medicine (TCDM) has appointed Howard Israel, D.D.S., as the school's first Vice Dean for Academic Affairs. With over four decades in the dental profession, Dr. Israel previously served as Professor of Clinical Surgery and Director of Research at Weill-Cornell Medical College and Professor of Clinical Dentistry at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine.
