NYU College of Dentistry: NYC Administration for Children's Services Announces, After Just a Few Months, 100 Youth in Foster Care Have Been Provided On-Site Dental Care Via New Partnership With NYU College of Dentistry
On November 1, Administration for Children's Services (ACS) Commissioner David A.Hansell announced that 100 children in foster care have been provided with dental care via a new partnership with NYU College of Dentistry. In May, ACS announced the partnership, which, for the first time ever, allows for dental screenings onsite at the Nicholas Scoppetta Children's Center

Columbia University College of Dental Medicine Receives $585,000 Grant from Delta Dental Community Care Foundation
The Delta Dental Community Care Foundation announced it awarded Columbia University College of Dental Medicine a $585,000 grant to purchase a new mobile dental clinic to serve children in Harlem, Washington Heights, Inwood, and the Bronx through the school's Community DentCare program. Columbia University's current dental van, purchased in 2009, has served children throughout upper Manhattan and the Bronx.

Columbia University College of Dental Medicine Celebrates Record-Breaking Giving Day
On November 15, the College of Dental Medicine (CDM) community gathered to toast a major win on Giving Day, an annual 24-hour fundraising event that unites the entire Columbia University community in support of schools, programs, and initiatives. For the fourth year in a row, CDM ranked #1 in participation. A record number of alumni, faculty, staff, students, and supporters of the College of Dental Medicine participated in the seventh annual Columbia Giving Day on October 24, 2018, and the school more than doubled dollars raised over last year.

Touro College of Dental Medicine Hosts Most Successful Fundraising Event Benefiting Student Scholarships and Patient Care
In November, Touro College of Dental Medicine (TCDM) hosted its 3rd annual Gala at The Ritz-Carlton in White Plains, NY. This year's event brought together nearly 300 members of the Touro Dental community to raise funds that will support both student scholarships and patient care at Touro Dental Health, the school's 32,000-square-foot dental clinical teaching facility.
