Happy New Year North Point Church! As we wade headlong into 2026, I want to take a moment to glance backwards in gratitude for all the ways that God richly blessed us in 2025. This was a year of substantial change at North Point Church: Our first full year with two new staff members; welcoming new elders and deacons into leadership; adding an additional Sunday morning worship service; and much more. I want to thank our incredible staff and the many committed volunteers who make ministry at North Point Church happen day in and day out. Please join us on Sunday, January 11th at 10:55 am in the sanctuary (during our Fellowship Time in between services) for our Annual Congregational Meeting. In this meeting, you will hear reports about the ministry of 2025 but also what we are looking forward to in 2026. As we begin a new year, please know that our staff, elders, and deacons are committed to growing like Jesus grew. In one of the few lines in the gospels that speaks of Jesus' growing up years, Luke 2:52 says: "And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and others". In other words, Jesus grew in knowledge, in physical stature, and in relationship with God and with other people. This is not only a valuable verse to discern and commit to practices that will grow you intellectually, physically, and relationally, but it is also a powerful way to plan our church's growth in the year ahead. I look forward to growing into our ministry together in 2026.

Sunday Service, January 4, 8:30am & 10:30am

A year ago as we began a New Year, I encouraged all of us to discern "One Word" from God for your life. It was less of a 'Resolution' to achieve and more of something to 'Seek After' like the Magi who sought after the Messiah child being led by way of a start. Do you remember your "One Word"? How did that practice impact your life in 2025? This year I'd like us to undergo a similar exercise but with one significant change. I'm calling this Sunday's sermon "2 Words For 26". Since it is Epiphany Sunday, we will read the story of the Magi (Matthew 2:1-23) together and take note of how it speaks to our lives. What I began to notice is that many of the words that describe the Magi's interactions with God and whom God led them to are 'action words'. They were verbs, not nouns. If we read the gospels, we will discover that many times Jesus called us to 'verb-like' faith and not just 'noun-like' faith. So as we begin a New Year, I'd like you to discern with me "2 Words for 2026"...a noun and a verb. Where is God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit leading you in the year ahead? Who are they calling you to be (a noun) and what are they calling you to do (a verb)? I look forward to worshipping with you joyously as we ring in the New Year!

Pastor Rob
