NORTHSIDE NOTES: August 3, 2016
A Note from Mike Gregg

Dear Congregation,

On Sunday, July 31, I preached in view of a call and received a unanimous vote to serve as the new Pastor of Royal Lane Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas. After much prayer and careful consideration, I have accepted their call. Amanda, the girls, and I will be relocating to the Dallas area and my last Sunday worshipping with you will be August 21.
Amanda and I moved to Atlanta more than nine years ago to join you on a faithful journey. You have walked beside us, loved us, encouraged us, comforted us, and held us up. You have grieved with us and celebrated with us. We hope that we have done the same for you. You have also blessed our daughters. Thank you for loving them, laughing at them, teaching them, and modeling Christ's love to them. You have made a deep, lasting impact upon their hearts.
During my tenure with you, there has been great growth in the attendance and commitment of young families with children, and I am confident that the talented staff members will continue to cultivate the health and vitality of the church. I know Northside Drive will remain an important Atlanta destination for progressive Baptists, those who value thoughtful worship, and families who want intimate and loving relationships.
This is a bittersweet time for us. We are excited about the opportunities that await us in Dallas, but our hearts also ache as we anticipate leaving a church family we love. We covet your prayers and support as we plan our move.
     With much love and gratitude,
Mike Gregg
