NVC was selected from over 300 qualifying colleges and is one of 18 higher education institutions in the nation to receive this award this year. In addition, NVC is the only college in San Antonio and within the Alamo Colleges District to receive this year's award and one of five in Texas.
The PPWCC award recognizes community and technical colleges committed to diversity (including race/ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, class, veterans, and thought) through best-in-class student and staff recruitment and retention practices, inclusive learning and working environments, and meaningful community service and engagement opportunities.

This is a significant recognition for Northwest Vista College because we value NVC touchstones which include diversity, openness, synergy and community. The touchstones help us create a collaborative environment for students, faculty and staff. To read more, click here .
