Executive Chef Jeff Rogers---
New things are happening in the kitchen at Nu Urban Care. We are revamping our menu by adding a few new items yet keeping hold of fan favorites. For those familiar to lo-country eats. We are adding a side of Fried Okra with a Jerk Aioli. We are also bringing a sweet and savory pulled BBQ Pork Sandwich topped with a Haitian staple - Pikliz, for a fusion marriage made in heaven. Chef Jeff takes us even deeper into his roots with a catfish po-boy and delves into his father's recipe box for a family Gumbo recipe that has been generations in the making and perfected by his father J. W. Rogers, a former chef at The Hotel New Yorker, who was born and raised in "Nawlons". (New Orleans for you Yankees) Urban fusion at its best, everyday at
Nu Urban Cafe. |

Saturday Jazz at Nu Urban Saturday night brings our tribute to the legends alive! We offer live Jazz with Eric Lemon's Band. Providing Entertainment at its best and an education in music history as well. Nu Urban is the only Live Jazz venue in the heart of St. Albans, NY. The place where Jazz legends such as Billie Holiday, Milt "Judge" Hinton and John Coltrane called home. Saturday Night Jazz is Hopping, with an open Mic session that brings out the best the city has to offer in Vocalists and other artists who came out to "jam" with the band. Showtime is at 9pm and as always NU Urban Cafe asks "NO COVER CHARGE" |
