Last week, I attended the annual meeting for The Alliance, a Wisconsin-based coalition of employer's dedicated to engaging patients, improving quality of care, and controlling costs. While there I had the opportunity to learn about the unique role employers can play in pushing change in the system. Employers have a clout that individual patients don't have, so collectively they can work to control costs while providing opportunities for patients to take advantage of a great new service, which, over the coming months, we're happy to report, is OpenNotes.
