VSBFA Announces The Launch Place as a Recipient of the State Small Business Credit Initiative Funding


The Launch Place (TLP) has been selected as a Technical Assistance Grant Program (TA) provider by The Virginia Small Business Financing Authority (VSBFA). The Launch Place, one of four finalists from the Commonwealth of Virginia, will receive up to $1,000,000 to offer key business advisory services to companies.

Virginia has been approved for $4.1 million in SSBCI Technical Assistance grant funding by the U.S. Department of Treasury under the State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI) program (SSBCI-21031-0028). This program will provide legal, accounting, and financial advisory services to companies preparing for support from state and/or federal small business programs and connect companies directly with its SSBCI-supported capital programs.

WESTMORELAND NEIGHBORHOOD ORGANZIATION CELEBRATES SUCCESSFUL RIBBON CUTTING EVENT OF WESTMORELAND PARK

Westmoreland Neighborhood Organization (WNO) proudly announces the successful ribbon-cutting and grand opening celebration for the redevelopment of the former Westmoreland School property into the beautiful and welcoming Westmoreland Park.


Nearly 400 people attended the event. The celebration commenced at noon with speakers discussing the history of the space. Ralph Price, WNO special project committee member, welcomed and thanked all attendees, stating, “Take a look around you. This is going to be a park for all ages!” WNO Secretary and lifelong Westmoreland resident, Carolyn Wilson, spoke about the history of the neighborhood organization and recognized founding members. WNO Special Projects Chair Sharon McCoy presented stories shared by neighbors, and Danville Vice Mayor Dr. Gary Miller shared personal stories from the space and community.

The Danville Community College Educational Foundation is excited to announce the 4th Annual Suds, Swine, Sippin' & Song fundraiser event, set to take place across two days on August 2 & 3 at the picturesque Motley's Mill Waterfall Estate. This highly anticipated event promises a delightful fusion of gourmet barbecue, delicious bourbon, and live music, all set against the stunning backdrop of Motley's Mill.

· Date: August 2 & 3, 2024

· Time: 5:30 – 10 p.m.

· Location: Motley's Mill Waterfall Estate, 527 Motleys Mill Road, Chatham, VA 24531

· Ticket Prices: $100 per person per day | $150 per couple per day

This year's Suds, Swine, Sippin' & Song – featuring two exciting days of festivities - will once again bring together a premier bourbon event to support the Danville Community College Educational Foundation. 2025 International Trip Interest Meeting - Sunny Portugal


C I Destinations, in partnership with the Danville Pittsylvania Chamber of Commerce, presents an International trip to Sunny Portugal, departing March 2025.


The Danville Pittsylvania Chamber of Commerce will be coordinating a trip to Sunny Portugal which will depart on March 18, 2025. Highlights will include 7 nights at a 4 star hotel touring:
