College Breaks Ground on New Advanced Technology Center
The Community College of Philadelphia recently broke ground on its new Career and Advanced Technology Center, which will boost training in transportation and logistics, advanced manufacturing and infrastructure, health care, and entrepreneurship. The new, green facility will also feature a STEM program for children in the surrounding community.
Community College Trustees Offer Best Practices to New Board
“I think one of the most important things a Board of Trustees can have is a true desire for consensus, not simply strong opinions from one or two people and a bunch of compliant voices,” said Frank X. Custer, Chair of the Montgomery County Community College Board of Trustees. Many trustees have stepped forward to potentially serve as volunteer mentors to the Commonwealth's newest community college Board of Trustees.
