BC3 Student Awarded International Scholarship from Honor Society
Congratulations to Vanessa Eberle, a full-time Butler County Community College student and married mother of six, who is the only Pennsylvanian to receive a 2019 international scholarship from Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society!
Community College Professor Selected for Prestigious Position
Dr. Ebony English, professor of Social Work at Community College of Allegheny County, has been selected to serve on the Editorial Review Board for the International Journal of Innovative Teaching and Learning in Higher Education. During her two-year term she will review scholarly manuscripts, including research, instructional and review articles. 
Meet Joshua: Engineering Transfer Student at HACC
Many students start at a community college with the goal of transferring to another school to earn a bachelor’s degree. Joshua Stover, a mechanical engineering technology student at HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College, said that he plans to get his associate degree before transferring to a four-year college.
Community College Introduces New Programs to Meet Regional Need & Expand Opportunities
Penn Highlands Community College recently announced four new programs: Engineering Technology, Sustainable Hydroponic Agriculture and Rural Entrepreneurship, Substance Abuse and Addiction Technician, and Paralegal Studies.
Congratulations to Sen. Ryan Aument!
Senator Ryan Aument was recently appointed Chairman of the Senate Education Committee for the 2019 - 20 legislative session. Sen. Aument previously served on the Education Committee in the House of Representatives as well as in the Senate, and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the Citadel , a military college in South Carolina. Community College Alumnus Designs Sets for Major Entertainment Companies
Kim Gromoll , an alumnus of Luzerne County Co mmunity College , is a freelance artist and scenic designer who has created sets, scenery, floats and designs for fantasy giants like Universal Studios and Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Kim pursued his passion for art and was eager to learn all they could to become professional artists like their instructors at the college. 
Gov. Wolf Announces Grants to Combat Sexual Assault
Delaware County Community College is among the 38 post-secondary institutions chosen to receive a state-funded grant to combat sexual assault on campus. Thank you to Governor Tom Wolf and Its On Us for working to prevent sexual assault and providing colleges with funding to address these serious issues.
