Community Colleges Respond to Pilot Shortage with New Programs
In response to a shortage of pilots and aviation professionals, Butler County Community College, the Community College of Beaver County and High Flight Academy are partnering to offer Butler County high school students a chance to earn credits toward an associate degree in the aviation field.
Dual Enrollment and Transfer Agreements Save Students Money
People are always asking Anbria Bates why she will only have to attend Penn State University for one year, instead of two, after she gets her associate degree in business administration. Spoiler alert: It's because of a special agreement with HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College , and a dual enrollment program that helps students save a lot in tuition money !
New Century Scholar Plans to Transfer to State System School
After a battle with addiction, Michelle Tatosian graduated from Northampton Community College with a 4.0 GPA and a full scholarship to East Stroudsburg University, courtesy of an All-PA Academic Team scholarship. Ms. Tatosian wants to revolutionize the treatment of convicted offenders in America.
Congratulations to Sen. Pam Iovino on Special Election Win

In April, Sen. Pam Iovino won a special election in the 37 th Senatorial District. A U.S. Navy veteran from Mt. Lebanon, Sen. Iovino says the the values of education and hard work were instilled in her and her siblings from an early age.
