The Commission recently announced the 26 ^th Annual All-Pennsylvania Academic Team , recognizing students who have achieved academic excellence and demonstrated a commitment to their communities.  The 2020 awardees include 47 outstanding community college transfer scholars and eight exceptional workforce pathway scholars.

Three health care programs at Community College of Philadelphia have donated life-saving equipment to local hospitals to support health care facilities and their colleagues working on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic. The programs have donated either ventilators or personal protective gear, both of which are in short supply.

Pennsylvania community colleges are supporting medical professionals during the COVID-19 outbreak. Lehigh Carbon Community College programs donated gloves, masks, eye protection and exposure gowns to Lehigh Valley Health Network . Montgomery County Community College programs donated masks, gloves, isolation gowns, thermometers, face shields and more to Montgomery County for distribution. 

Thanks to a federal grant, Montgomery County will continue to offer drive-thru COVID-19 testing through May 30. However, the site location will change to the Montgomery County Community College campus in Whitpain Township. Officials expect the new testing site to be opened on Wednesday , April 15.
