Need to Catch Up or Get Ahead? Community College Can Help!
Bucks County Community College is offering more than 300 credit courses this summer. Students can choose from face-to-face, online or hybrid classes – a mix of both in-person and online learning. In-person registration help is available Thursday, May 23 in the lower level of Linksz Pavilion at the Newtown Campus. 
Penn Highlands Grad Prepares for Next Step in Educational Journey
Pennsylvania Highlands Community College graduate Jenna Stevens is both grateful for the opportunities she found at Penn Highlands and ready to continue her education this fall at a university. She said, "Penn Highlands offered so much more than a reasonably priced education – it offered me the opportunity to excel, to lead.”
Community College Brewing Science Program Makes Masters
The Brewing Science Certificate Program at HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College, continues to grow in popularity and gain recognition in Harrisburg and beyond. One of the program alumni, Johnny Roberts, said HACC helped him gain knowledge to grow his company.
College Class Prepares Educators for Cyber Security Threats
Through a grant from the National Security Agency and the National Science Foundation, Lehigh Carbon Community College will offer a one-week cyber security summer camp for elementary, middle and high school teachers from Lehigh, Carbon and Schuylkill counties. The three-credit special topics course is free for the student.
Butler County Community College Business Educator Honored with Teaching Excellence Award
For the second time in three years, the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs , has selected a Butler County Community College (BC3) business educator as the winner of a five-state Teaching Excellence Award , qualifying Les Graves for consideration as the council’s international award recipient. He is one of only five finalists for the 2019 International Teaching Excellence Award , which will be presented during the council’s annual conference in Texas in June.
Community College Student and Special Olympics Gold- and Silver-Medal Athlete Honored at Capitol
Sen. Lisa Baker recently welcomed Luzerne County Community College student and Gold- and Silver-Medal Special Olympics World Games athlete Aaron Keller to Harrisburg to be recognized for his accomplishments . Mr. Keller earned a gold medal in the 10,000-meter run, a silver medal in the 1500-meter run, and another silver medal in the 400-meter relay at the Special Olympics World Games held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
