Butler County Community College Business Educator Honored with Teaching Excellence Award
For the second time in three years, the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs, has selected a Butler County Community College (BC3) business educator as the winner of a five-stateTeaching Excellence Award, qualifying Les Graves for consideration as the council’s international award recipient. He is one of only five finalists for the 2019 International Teaching Excellence Award, which will be presented during the council’s annual conference in Texas in June.
Community College Student and Special Olympics Gold- and Silver-Medal Athlete Honored at Capitol
Sen. Lisa Baker recently welcomed Luzerne County Community College student and Gold- and Silver-Medal Special Olympics World Games athlete Aaron Kellerto Harrisburg to be recognized for his accomplishments. Mr. Keller earned a gold medal in the 10,000-meter run, a silver medal in the 1500-meter run, and another silver medal in the 400-meter relay at the Special Olympics World Games held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
