PA Community Colleges Respond to COVID-19 as Situation Evolves
Pennsylvania community colleges are being proactive in their response to COVID-19 by modifying class schedules or adopting distance learning models. The Pennsylvania Department of Health is closely monitoring the virus and encourages all Pennsylvanians to do their part to mitigate its spread.
Respiratory Program Achieves Perfect Accreditation Score
With the threat of COVID-19 across the Commonwealth, some community college programs are more essential than ever. One is the Community College of Allegheny County Respiratory Therapy program, which recently earned a perfect accreditation score and boasts a 100 percent job placement rate.
Community College Nursing Program Donates Medical Supplies
Pennsylvania community colleges are supporting medical professionals and former students in the industry by donating protective supplies during this crisis. Recently, HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College, collected gloves, masks, and other personal protective equipment and donated all of it to UPMC Pinnacle.
