Community College Leaders Respond to Proposed Budget
“We hope the General Assembly recognizes the invaluable educational and training programs our institutions provide and includes a much-needed increase for community colleges in the 2020-21 fiscal year budget,” said Pennsylvania Commission for Community Colleges President & CEO Elizabeth Bolden on behalf of leaders from Pennsylvania’s 14 community colleges.
Community College Partners to Help Children in Foster Care
Alexis Jardine of Reading Area Community College (RACC) r ecently partnered with leaders in the Reading community to present a two-day workshop for Court Appointed Special Advocates of Berks County. According to the Annie E Casey Foundation Kids Count Data Center, there is an average of 500 children in foster care in Berks County each month. 
Meet Michael: Dual Enrollment Helped High Schooler Earn Degree
Graduating from college is an accomplishment in itself, but through the dual enrollment program at HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College, Michael Riggs will graduate from HACC with an associate degree in general studies while still in high school!
