in addition to providing affordable and responsive higher education to thousands of Pennsylvanians every year.
11 Community Colleges Donate Critical Supplies During Shortage
Pennsylvania community colleges are loaning respiratory equipment, donating personal protective equipment and supporting local food banks during the COVID-19 pandemic. "Our community colleges have found ways to help the brave heroes battling this disease on the front lines,” said John J. “Ski” Sygielski, MBA, Ed.D., chair of the Commission.
Online Transfer Option Offers Students Seamless Learning
“I’m attending [ SNHU] full-time and working 25-30 hours a week. The ten percent tuition reduction makes a significant difference in college affordability,” said Sarah Polachek, alumni of the Community College of Allegheny County. “It has also been nice to not have to worry how the pandemic may affect my classes." Food Assistance Available Thanks to PA Dept of Agriculture Waiver
Pennsylvania has approval to allow schools the option to distribute meals at no cost while the institutions are closed. The Community College of Beaver County offers information on accessing meals on its website or search the hashtag #Meals4KidsInPA on social media for statewide information.
