in addition to providing affordable and responsive higher education to thousands of Pennsylvanians every year.
Community College Breaks Record for Most Female Police Cadets
Delaware County Community College’s Municipal Police Academy recently broke its own record. Twelve female cadets—the most to have ever graduated at one time from the Police Academy—were among 48 students lauded at the Academy graduation ceremony held at Ridley High School in Folsom earlier this year.
Recent Graduates Prepare to Join Local Law Enforcement Ranks
Thirty-three cadets are prepared to join area police forces following their graduation from Montgomery County Community College’s Municipal Police Academy earlier this year. During the ceremony, family of the late East Norriton Police Chief John J. McGowan, III, presented a $3,500 scholarship to Kyle Lowery.
College Celebrates 115 th Municipal Police Academy Graduation
Members of the local law enforcement community, along with family and friends, recently celebrated the graduation of 41 cadets from the 115 th Municipal Police Academy of HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College. The community college's Police Academy is the second largest in Pennsylvania. 
Now Accepting Applications for May 2020 Police Academy
The Community College of Beaver County is accepting inquiries for the pre-entry testing process for May 2020 Municipal Police Training Academy Class. Opened in 1974, the Police Training Academy provides training for police officers in Beaver and surrounding counties.
Local Hospital and Community College Collaborate
on New Pharmacy Technician Program
Recently,  Reading Area Community College (RACC), in partnership with  Tower Health , announced a new 15-week Pharmacy Technician program beginning in the spring of 2020.

“RACC is a wonderful educational institution in the community,” says William M. Jennings , president and CEO of Reading Hospital . "We are pleased to partner with them to offer a Pharmacy Technician training program that will provide students the hands-on experience needed for a successful career as a Pharmacy Technician."
