Community colleges play an important role in educating and training current and future generations of workers,
in addition to providing affordable and responsive higher education to thousands of Pennsylvanians every year.
Community Colleges Honored as Collaborator of the Year
Butler County Community College’s (BC3) efforts to increase the quality of life in its communities were recently recognized by Butler County Human Services, which presented BC3 with its 2019 Collaborator of the Year Award.  
Brandon Savochka, director of the Butler County Human Services, praised BC3 for its involvement, training and programming in Butler County.
Students with Disabilities Supported by College Program
Lehigh Carbon Community College's SEED program is a unique program that supports students with disabilities as they transition from high school to college, and throughout their college experience. It provides comprehensive services that enable students to gain the skills they need to be successful academically, professionally and personally.
National Association Designates Guard-Friendly Colleges
At its 2019 Pennsylvania National Guard Associations Awards Celebration, the organization announced 30 colleges and universities that have earned the inaugural PNGAS Guard-Friendly School designation. The Community College of Allegheny County, Montgomery County Community College, and HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College, were among those to receive the designation. 
Reading Area Community College Announces New Associate Vice President of Community and Academic Partnerships
Reading Area Community College (RACC) is pleased to announce the promotion of Jodi Corbett to the newly-created position of associate vice president of community and academic partnerships . Ms. Corbett has held positions at RACC since 2007, most recently serving as director of academic partnerships since 2014.

In her enhanced leadership role, Ms. Corbett will oversee the development and strengthening of educational partnerships, and develop and oversee college and university transfer partnerships.
