Children's Ministry Newsletter

The Sunday school ministry team is looking forward to another great year. We are excited to have the opportunity to support you as parents as we help your children learn more about God and his plan for each of our lives.

The parental role is extremely important in a child's spiritual growth. As much as we try to do in one hour each Sunday, it will never compare to all that children will learn from their  parent(s) about Jesus Christ. It is our desire to team up with each parent this year to offer our support. Over the next year parents will be invited to participate in your child's Sunday school classroom in a variety of ways: learn about the Bible together, provide a snack, assist in an activity, etc. We are hoping that parents will volunteer to assist their child's teacher at least one Sunday out of the year. Parents may receive a call during the year just to see how families are doing. We always want to know if there is anything we can be praying about or any questions or concerns we can answer. Our goal is to build relationships in order to help children and families grow and mature as a followers of Christ.

This year Sunday School begins on September 9^th at 9:15 to 10:20 am. We are asking parents to register their children at  www.peacehome.org. You need not log on to the website. The form is accessible on the first page. To find the form link - scroll down and you will see it on the right hand side under "Register Now for Sunday School." If you are not able to access the link, we will have forms available with your child's teacher - Just request one. We send out emails and mail birthday cards throughout the year; and so having updated information is important. Also, we will continue to celebrating each child's baptism. We will do that the third Sunday of each month during Large Group Sunday school. Children for the month of September/August will be celebrated on 9/23.

The children are so important to us. We want to make the most of the time we have with them; so we want to say thank you in advance in helping us to do so this fall.
