PCF at Work

PCF has a unique role in strengthening community.

  • We provide consulting services (at no charge) to enhance nonprofit performance on a range of topics, including board development and training, executive coaching, and succession planning.
  • We regularly keep abreast of urgent local needs and encourage collaboration for maximum community impact.
  • We fund solutions that change lives and enrich quality of life across our community.

Donors rely on PCF's due diligence to research, select, and monitor grant awards.  In 2013, PCF awarded $101,600 in grants to 11 local nonprofits that are working together to:

  • Increase access to subsidized early childhood education that encourages school readiness and parent engagement
  • Guide youth to avoid at-risk behaviors, resist gangs, provide field trips and summer camp experiences on the Petaluma River
  • Provide healthy food and nutritional education for teen parents at San Antonio High School along with mentors for other vulnerable teens
  • Coordinate Free Bookmobile visits to grantee locations so that children, families, and seniors may reap the joy of reading
  • Provide free or subsidized counseling to residents who may be without insurance, out of work, or facing other challenges
  • Help seniors access needed resources through case management, such as home delivered meals and emergency financial assistance for basic necessities
  • Provide emergency home repairs for vulnerable seniors and veterans to be able to remain living safely at home

The strength of our alliances with the local nonprofit community allows PCF to approach problem-solving with creativity and flexibility while providing pivotal support to our local nonprofits.

Join us in infusing local giving to reinforce the links between getting results, aligning donors with critical needs, and strengthening our nonprofit community.
