Education and Learning Continue
Some of our crew were able to attend the "2022 Dirt to Glass Conference" in Traverse City. This conference focused on soil and how that contributes to better vine growth and ultimately the quality of your glass of wine. Our winemaker Josh is planning and looking forward to Harvest 2022! Every year he looks forward to bringing new wines for your table.
News from the Vineyard
New Vineyard Equipment
Check out our new leaf blower! This machine shoots out air to remove the leaves from the canopy. This is done in order to expose the grapes to more sunlight and air flow. What once took many weeks to do by hand, can now be accomplished in just a few hours!
The Grapes are Changing!
Hard to believe the end of summer is here and the grapes are starting to go through veraison. During this process, the grapes change color, start to sweeten up, and are now attractive to the birds! The bird lasers are up and running to help protect the fruit. These lasers project visible, moving, neon green lights to keep the birds from sticking around too long! They are fun to watch so be sure to check them out from the patio on your next visit.
