Meet the Guy Behind “Mark’s Market”

If you’re a regular at Pine Crest Inn’s Sunday Breakfast Buffet and prefer a seat in the bar and lounge, chances are you already know Mark Headen.

Mark joined the Pine Crest Inn team in 2014, starting as a busboy in the main dining room. As the Sunday Breakfast Buffet grew in popularity and additional seating expanded into the bar and lounge, Mark volunteered to take charge of the space. It quickly became such a popular spot that the staff affectionately dubbed it “Mark’s Market.” Mark has developed quite a following over the years, and even when there’s a short wait for a table, you can count on him to take great care of you.

A Moore County native, Mark was born at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Southern Pines and grew up as one of seven children. He lives in nearby Taylortown and is a 1985 graduate of Pinecrest High School. You may also recognize him behind the wheel of the shuttle bus for Belle Meade and St. Joseph of the Pines.

Frequent Diner Club

Sign up for the PCI Frequent Diner Club! As a member, you will be given a Frequent Diner Card that can be used for ONE of the following:

• Weekday Breakfast Club
• Sunday Breakfast Club
• Early Bird Dinner Club (Tuesdays-Saturdays only)

Your card will be reconciled after each meal. For your 11th meal, your fulfilled card will be your payment. Cards will be issued to any one individual and only that card can be used for one meal per seating. A couple will be required to each have their own card. You must have your card in your possession in order to get credit for your meal. Ask your server for details!

Please note: Each card can only be used for ONE club. So, if you decide to join the Weekday Breakfast Club, your card may only be reconciled for weekday breakfasts and your reward meal will be a weekday breakfast. The same applies to the Sunday Breakfast Club and the Early Bird Dinner Club.

Validation for Breakfast Club points will only occur with a minimum purchase of $12.00 per breakfast.
