Project to Host
Regional Convening of
Southeastern Wisconsin Educators and
Industry
In partnership with Gateway Technical College, Preparing Technicians will host the Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Convening on September 1 in Sturtevant, Wisconsin. The regional convenings are part of Preparing Technicians efforts to engage employers and educators in regional discussions to facilitate dialogue about technician knowledge and skills essential to the future of work. The project team will also share strategies for adopting the Cross-Disciplinary STEM Core for technician education programs while prioritizing the knowledge and skills of the Core based on regional needs.

Instructional Card Available
For Teaching the Skills in the
Cross-Disciplinary STEM Core
Preparing Technicians for the Future of Work continues to develop tools and resources to support educators in future-proofing tomorrow's technicians. The catalog of instructional cards are being developed by the project team to assist educators in adoption of The Framework for a Cross-Disciplinary STEM Core.

Each instructional card contains micro-lessons designed to address skill areas within the Cross-Disciplinary STEM Core—advanced digital literacy, data knowledge and analysis, and business knowledge and processes—for introduction in advanced technology education programs.

BILT Academy Gearing Up for Cohort 3
Ready to improve your program's engagement with employers, but not sure where to start? The BILT Academy is part of CORD's Pathways to Innovation (PTI) project which teaches colleges how to establish a Business & Industry Leadership Team (BILT) using this proven model for strategic employer engagement. In the BILT Academy cohort colleges will receive coaching and technical assistance from experienced experts in the BILT model.
