A number of outstanding performances were turned in at the 112th Boys and 45th Girls Ohio High School Athletic Association Track & Field Championships Congratulations to everyone who competed.

Ohio Track Club Girls Team helped get today’s women athletes on front page

On June 15th the Ohio Track Club Girls Team held their 60th reunion at the Polaris Grill. They were formed in Columbus in 1959 by Jim Lorimer — an ex-FBI agent, Cold Warrior, Nationwide Insurance executive and sports entrepreneur — with help from Harry McKnight — ex-Ohio State pole vaulter and longtime teacher and coach at East High and Walnut Ridge.

Bob Lennon Memorial 5K/10K - Sunday, July 28th
On September 15, 2013, Coach and Teacher Bob Lennon was killed by a hit and run driver while cycling in Westerville. In an effort to commemorate the life of such a dedicated man, the Lennon Loop was born. We run to build a scholarship worthy of his life’s work and his love and commitment to students and athletes.

According to the 2016-17 High School Athletics Participation Survey conducted by the National Federation of State High School Associations. Girls outdoor Track and Field for the ninth year in a row is the number one sport offering with high school girls with 494,477 participants. Boys Track & Field finished second to football with 600,136 participants nationwide. Also nationwide both boys (16,699)  and girls (16,658) track & field was the second most popular sport offered at the high school level only behind basketball in the number of schools which offer the sport.
The McGowan Family Track
Circleville City Schools recognized and thanked the McGowan family for their generous donation to the track facilities at the CHS Track Invitational last month. In honor of their continued support, the facility will now be known as The McGowan Family Track
