New Study Indicates Testosterone Benefit in Older Men
A  recent
New England Journal of Medicine study  confirms certain benefits in sexual function and mood for some men 65 and over

The team of scientists found no increase in adverse events among those taking the hormone.
"Optimizing low testosterone in men has significant quality of life benefits," Dr Birken said.  "And more studies show that men with low testosterone are at higher risk for premature death from heart disease."

With testosterone therapy, patients may see an increase in bone density as well as muscle mass.  Mood, libido and cardiovascular function usually improve along with reduction of body fat and cholesterol levels.
