It's been a crazy snowy week here in VB. We hope all of our neighbors remained safe and enjoyed the beauty of our big snowfall. For those outside the area, we hope winter is providing you lots of cozy reading time. After a positive response to our little sale, a smooth transition (comfy couch can now be found at Prosperity!) to our pop-up locations and snowmageddon, it was necessary to close the Pungo shop prior to our March 1st plan. The Pungo store is now closed. Please visit us at one of our pop-ups, events or book clubs. And please know you can still order books via email. They will now be available at Corduroy for pick up. And of course you can order from our Online Bookshop shipped direct to home and Libro.fm for audiobooks 24/7.

We are hosting another fun event at Aslin Beer Co. March 24th. It's a book bedazzling workshop. Need some therapeutic crafting around your favorite hobby, reading? We've gotcha covered (*pun intended) We'll show you how it's done, supply the paperback book (4 to choose from), the tools, glue, gems and a beverage of choice. Warning: Book bedazzling is addictive especially when done with friends! We want to thank all of you who reached out via SM, email, phone or stopped by the shop after we made the initial announcement. You were so generous and kind as you shared what Read Books has meant to you thus far. Please know that you have equally touched our lives and made every bookish day a delight. We hope that we can continue to bring you joy and comfort in new ways. Now is a time to gather in community and support each other in all the ways. Please continue to shop local and independently if you can. Support your libraries too and read with abandon!
