It's Been Great Fun Meeting Friends
CT Drum Show
In April, we shared the floor at the
Connecticut Drum Show
with many other percussion companies. The show featured clinics by
Danny Seraphine
and
Kenny Aronoff
and we had a great time
talking with friends, old and new! It was all our pleasure to speak with so many drummers and introduce them to our sticks and other products. A big "Thank You!" goes out to the several Rich Sticks artists that stopped by our booth. It's always great when we get to see our family members in person!
Drum Fun 5
. We got to meet many great drummers and saw some amazing performances. Many of the 30+ drummers in attendance whom performed that day used our products while we got to enjoy performances by endorsing artists
Scott "Roadkill" McMullen
and
Chris Meyer
. The show closed with a Drum Trio Experiment that featured three of our endorsing artists,
Charles Greenwood, Matt Zappa
and
Phil Sica
.

Rich Sticks Featured Product!
The Hex Cajon was designed to be a drum kit in a 6-sided box. It is 12" across, point to point, 6" high, made from 9-ply Baltic Birch and hand-buffed to a smooth as silk finish. This model comes standard with adjustable snare wires and rubber feet. The 3" vent port is located on the left so you can pitch bend the note, using your left knee
while playing.

New Products from Rich Sticks...
We have added a few new beaters to our product line. The
Ultra Wheel Beaters
are made from skateboard wheels and they are our heaviest hitting beaters. Just like our
Ultra Felt
and
Ultra Wood Beaters
, they are "D" Shaped and you can choose to play the round side or the adjustable flat side for more attack. THESE HIT HARD!! We recommend using a patch on your batter head to prolong the life of your heads. They are available in White/Glow-in-the-dark, Red, Pink, Blue and Green.
New Standard Acorn Tip
Having received a lot of feedback from our customers over the years, we decided to update the profile of our acorn tip. Our old one was more of a barrel/ball hybrid. The new acorn tip (pictured below) has more of a true acorn profile and is more pointed than the old one. Note that during this transition, we will still be selling our old acorn tip sticks until we have eliminated the old stock during the next few months.
New and Improved Rich Sticks Twist Rods
Per our customer requests, our RichStick Twist Rods will now include both the rubber mallet butt ends, which are great for tom work, cymbal swells and provide counterweight, as well as a pair of plastic butt ends, for those whom like a more forward heavy Twist Rod. In addition, our new Twist Rods will now have our new logo as well as the product name printed directly on the rubber grip.
Improved Nylon Tips
We have a new and improved way of attaching our nylon tips to ensure that they will
NEVER
come off. We haven't had a major problem with this, but occasionally, tips would fail. If you play nylon, you know how frustrating it can be to have the tips come off while there is still plenty of life left in the stick... we feel your pain! With our Improved Nylon Tip Sticks you can play confidently without fear of the tips coming off...ever!

Shipping Insurance
We have been having issues with packages getting lost or destroyed during shipping. Although there is not an option to choose insurance on our site, if you would like insurance, please send us an email or note in the 'comments' box indicating that you would like to purchase insurance. We will send an email invoice to you before we ship out your order for the additional cost of insurance. It is approximately $3 for every $100 worth of insurance and is well worth it.
