THE BRIGGERS
Two-year old Carter and four-and-a-half-year old Hallie
Four-and-a-half year old Hallie's eyes sparkle as she chats with her friends in the front lobby of the House. Her mother, India Brigger, signs Hallie in to attend the House's Camp Ronald McDonald summer program and cheerfully waves goodbye as she leaves her daughter, who was diagnosed shortly after birth with polycystic kidney disease (PKD), in the capable hands of the House's trained camp staff.

"Hallie loves staying at the House--for her it's full of fun and friends, but for me, and for my entire family, the House is a lifesaver."

India soon boards a shuttle outside of the House and within minutes is at her two-year-old son's bedside at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford. Diagnosed with PKD before birth, little Carter-who had both kidneys removed when he was only two months old, has spent countless days both in the hospital and at Ronald McDonald House at Stanford while he awaits a new life-saving kidney.   Read entire story .
