2016 Fix a Leak Week

The 2016 Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) WaterSense Fix a Leak Week was a success!  Rowland Water District celebrated during the week of March 14th-17th and over 400 leak detection giveaways were handed out to customers during the week, also the first 50 customers received low-flow shower heads. This week is celebrated to help educate customers on fixing leaks. Annually,
over 1 trillion gallons of water are wasted in household
leaks, which is equivalent to water use of more
than 11 million homes.

The program began in January and takes place Mondays through Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and involves one OPARC Job Coach along with three clients. Services include removing chipped paint from fire hydrants, applying two coats of paint and reporting missing caps
