Solar Cup Teams

Rowland Water District is pleased to announce that we have two teams competing in the 2016 Solar Cup competition this year which is sponsored by Metropolitan Water District. Both Nogales High School and Santana High School will take part in the three-day completion at Lake Skinner, in Temecula Valley, May 13-15.

Solar Cup is a high school education program where high school students build and race
solar-powered boats. This is a seven-month long program that challenges the students to
utilize resources, electrical and mechanical engineering and problem solving.
